Who we are

Boutique Flooring & Design is a service-area flooring and window-treatment business operated by Katie Orscheln in the Kansas City metro. You can reach us at katie@boutiqueflooringkc.com or 913-963-6243.

Information you give us

When you submit a consultation request, we collect the information you enter in the form: your name, phone number, email address, project type, project scope, timeline, city, state, ZIP code, and anything you write in the project notes.

We use it for one purpose: to contact you about your project and to prepare for your consultation. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Your city, state, and ZIP are also used internally, in aggregate, to understand which parts of the metro our advertising should focus on. A ZIP code outside our advertising area never prevents you from inquiring or from being served.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages get read, which links get clicked, and where visitors come from. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and receives a truncated version of your IP address. We record events such as viewing the portfolio, tapping a phone number, and submitting the consultation form.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google's browser add-on.

Advertising and first-party attribution

When you arrive from an ad or a campaign link, the URL may carry identifiers such as gclid, gbraid, wbraid, msclkid, fbclid, or utm_* parameters. We store those, along with the page you landed on and the site that referred you, in your browser's own local storage for this website.

This is first-party storage only. It is not a third-party cookie, it is not shared across other websites, and it is not used to build a profile of you. Its only job is to let us connect a consultation request back to the ad or link that brought you here, so we know which advertising is worth paying for.

Retention: attribution data is kept for 90 days from your first visit and is discarded automatically after that. If you submit a consultation request, a copy is attached to that request and retained with your lead record.

You can clear this at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings.

Conversion measurement

If you submit a consultation request, we may send Google Ads a hashed, non-reversible version of the contact details you provided (Google calls this “enhanced conversions for leads”). The hashing happens in your browser before anything is transmitted; Google uses it only to confirm that an ad click resulted in a lead, and it does not let us or Google read those details back out.

When a project later becomes a quote or a completed sale, we may upload that outcome — matched by the ad click identifier, not by your name — so that our advertising can be measured against real business results rather than form submissions.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

We are not currently running Meta advertising and no Meta pixel is installed on this site. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any Meta tracking is added.

How long we keep things

• Consultation requests: kept as long as needed to serve you and maintain our business records.
• Attribution data: 90 days in your browser; retained with a lead record if you submit one.
• Analytics data: governed by Google Analytics' own retention settings.

Your choices

• Browse the site without submitting anything.
• Block or clear cookies and site data in your browser settings.
• Use your browser's Do Not Track or tracking-prevention features.
• Ask us to delete your consultation request — email katie@boutiqueflooringkc.com and we will remove it.

Security

Consultation requests are transmitted over HTTPS and stored in an access-controlled database. Internal lead records — including any project values — are behind authentication and are never publicly accessible.

Changes

If we change how we collect or use information, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above.
